2. What we collect and why

Booking requests

When you send a request we process the details you enter: name, email address, telephone number, chalet, dates, number of guests, catering preference and your message. We use them to answer your request, to prepare a quote and, if you book, to perform the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We save the request in our website database, send it to our team by email and send you an automatic confirmation by email.

If you write or call us we process what you tell us to answer you (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR).

Spam protection

To keep the request form secure we use a hidden field, a time check and a limit on the number of requests per visitor. For the limit we keep a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address for at most 24 hours. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Server logs

Our hosting provider records technical data when you visit the site (IP address, date and time, requested page, browser). This is needed to deliver and secure the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

3. Recipients

Your data is processed by our web hosting and email providers on our behalf. Where a recipient is outside the EU, we rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision. We do not sell your data.

4. Storage period

• Requests that do not lead to a booking: deleted after 12 months.
• Bookings, quotes and invoices: 7 years, as required by tax and commercial law (§132 Federal Fiscal Code, BAO; §212 UGB).
• Server logs: as set by our hosting provider, normally a few weeks.

5. Cookies

This website does not use tracking, analytics or advertising cookies and does not set cookies for visitors. See our cookie notice.

6. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection to processing based on legitimate interests. Please write to contact@2jkronen.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde), Barichgasse 40-42, 1030 Vienna, www.dsb.gv.at.

7. Security

The website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to requests is limited to authorised staff.

8. Automated decisions

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.

9. Changes

We update this policy when our services or the law change. The current version is always published here.
