Ischgl: Skiing, Concerts and Dining

Why Ischgl

Ischgl combines high-altitude snow with a resort that never feels quiet. The Silvretta Arena runs from about 1,400 m to 2,900 m, so conditions hold well into spring, and the season stretches from late November to early May. Choose Ischgl for reliable snow, long days on the mountain and evenings with energy.

Skiing in the Silvretta Arena

The Silvretta Arena Ischgl/Samnaun offers 239 km of slopes and is billed as Austria's largest cross-border ski area. You can ski over the ridge into Samnaun in Switzerland, which is duty-free, and be back in Austria for the afternoon. Just make sure you catch the last lift home. For winter 2026/27 the season runs from 26 November 2026 to 2 May 2027, with the new Höllkarbahn chairlift opening on day one.

Top of the Mountain concerts 2026/27

Ischgl marks the season with open-air concerts, several of them at 2,300 m on the Idalp, a venue billed as the largest open-air arena in the Alps.

Accommodation across the valley fills quickly around these dates, so book early.

Dining in Ischgl

Ischgl has several toque-awarded restaurants. The Dine.Around evening serves each course of one menu in a different restaurant. A private chef at your accommodation can cover the other nights.
